ACE Rail: Getting back on track...

The North Devon Lib Dems are hosting a FREE event at the North Devon Yacht Club, Instow on Saturday 9th July 2022 from 7pm to showcase the proposal to re-commission the Bideford to Barnstaple Railway.

The first presentation will be given by Kev Ball, Member of the OkeRail Executive Board, highlighting the positive impact of the restored Dartmoor Line to Okehampton or Exeter.Tim Steer, Director and Station Manager of the Bideford Railway Heritage Centre, will be delivering the second presentation. ACE Rail (Atlantic Coast Express) are driving forward the restoration of the Bideford to Barnstaple Railway. Taking advantage of the Government's 'Restoring Your Railway Fund', the project bid aims to support left-behind communities by providing sustainable travel options to regenerate local economies, giving access to jobs and education, supporting new housing developments and boosting tourism.The presentations will start at 7:30pm.A buffet will be available as well as the bar. We also plan to hold a raffle with some great prizes.The venue has plenty of parking and disabled access.
