Support during the Coronavirus crisis

TWDLD

We have put together the following links for people looking for support, or for ways to support others, in our local communities:

Help during Covid-19 facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/201564581177296/

This group is for people in and around Devon, who are self-isolating, elderly, or people with lower immune systems who can't go out and would like a little extra help, whether it's a phone call, a letter, or picking up shopping or medication. It's managed by Annabelle Hanson who lists volunteers and volunteer leads in local areas across Northern Devon.

Great Torrington Covid-19 mutual aid and support: https://www.facebook.com/groups/torringtonmutualaid/

Appledore Community Volunteers:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/835847273596037/

A group of neighbours to support all the people of Appledore as best we can. Picking up shopping, helping with dog-walking, offering phone support and picking up medicines we can do. This way people will be able to self-isolate when they need to and therefore slow the spread of the virus which benefits us all. This really helps the NHS provide intensive help to the people who need it most.

Supporting NHS workers at North Devon District Hospital:

https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/HelpUsHelpYou

An appeal to support NHS staff in Northern Devon during the crisis, when many key workers will need extra support. The fund will provide those NHS staff who need it with meal packages and essential items to keep them going, since they have no time to go out and get these after working long shifts.
